Among the many archaeological sites, the Ephesus site has great value and special significance. As a strategic coastal gateway to the eastern world, this Ionian sanctuary developed into the second largest city of the Roman Empire and one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. According to legend, the Virgin Mary came to Ephesus in the company of St. Paul in the last stages of her life. St. John is said to have spent the last years of his life here, and after his death there is a shrine to his tomb.

On our regular Ephesus tour we will pick you up from your hotel around 09:30 AM and start your Ephesus classic city tour.
