Tour Plan
Our full-day tour begins with a masterpiece designed by the legendary Ottoman architect Sinan, Suleymaniye Mosque and complex. Sulaymaniyah is built on one of the seven hills of the historic peninsula, offering stunning views of the city, we will visit the mosque, medrese (religious school), caravanserai, library and bazaar. Some facilities are still in use today. After visiting the mosque, we headed to the Spice Bazaar, one of the most colorful and aromatic places in the city, with many shops selling spices, cheese, olives, eggs, meat and more. Then it’s time to cross the famous Galata Bridge, which spans the Golden Horn and is one of Istanbul’s famous landmarks. We will stop for lunch at balık ekmek, one of the famous fish restaurants in the area, fish sandwiches are a popular street food and a typical Istanbul cultural experience.
Next, we will walk through the streets of Galata filled with trendy cafes and boutiques to the famous Galata Tower, the tallest building in Istanbul for centuries. During the Ottoman Empire, Galata Tower served as a prison, observatory and watchtower. After restoration, it was opened to the public in 1960, and today it is the 360-degree observation deck of Istanbul.
This tour can be combined with a 2-hour Bosphorus cruise on a private or shared boat.
