You will arrive at the North Gate of Pamukkale (Hierapolis). You’ll see the Necropolis (necropolis) of Hierapolis, one of the largest ancient necropolises in Anatolia, with 1,200 tombs, Roman baths, the Domitian Gate and the main street, the Byzantine Gate. Then hike to the natural hot water terraces, formed by flowing calcareous hot water. The water temperature is around 35°C. A remarkable effect occurs when water from a non-swelling spring loses carbon dioxide as it flows down a slope, leaving behind limestone deposits.
