Cappadocia is known as the “Land of Beautiful Horses,” and horses have played an important role in the region’s history for thousands of years. Cappadocians ride horses on horseback, which is ideal for exploring the unique landscapes of Goreme. If you want to explore Goreme on horseback, but don’t want to be part of the masses, select a 4-hour horseback trail ride with a cowboy from Turkey. This will allow you to explore different areas away from the crowds.
A number of beautiful valleys in Cappadocia are traversed while on this tour. Theseinclude Pigeon, Rose, Meskendir, Swords, Love, White and Zemi Valleys. Passingthrough orchards full of apricot, apple, walnut and quince trees is part of the experience.
Wine growers also use the grape vines in these orchards. Riders traverse volcanic rock hills with unique views of mountain tops. Many churches and fairy chimneys dot the scenic route.
