DERVISHES CEREMONY
Tour Plan
Every night, the Sarihan Caravanserai hosts a ceremony performed by Whirling Dervishes. The winter ceremony starts at 18:00 and the summer ceremony at 21:00. We provide a religious drink called Serbet after the ceremony. The whole ceremony lasts around one hour; Turkish Heritage Travel picks people up from their hotels in Goreme or other towns of Cappadocia half an hour early. This gives people enough time to see the parts of the caravanserai prior to the ceremony.
For ceremonies requiring a transfer service, we need at least two participants to run our service. We also provide pick-up and drop-off services for all hotels in Goreme Urgup and Uchisar. Photography during the ceremony is prohibited. Additionally, children younger than 10 are not permitted to attend the ceremony as a single person.
