Your hotel in Cappadocia is picked up by our professional guide and the chauffeur at 9:30 each day.
Kaymakli Underground City is the first and most popular underground city in Cappadocia. It’s been used by locals to hide from Romans, Arabs, Persians and Kaymakli residents for hundreds of years.
We’ll head further south from Kaymakli after leaving the town. For about an hour, our trip alongside the Melendiz River will take us through the Ihlara Valley, with a stop at a restaurant on the river in Belisirma.
We visit the Selime Monastery, the largest rock-cut monestary in Cappadocia that features a large cave church with breathtaking views. They host afternoon services after lunch.
We stop at the view point overlooking Pigeon Valley on our way back to Goreme.
In our final stop, we watch an onyx cutting and polishing demonstration at a local stone shop.
