CAPPADOCIA RED TOUR
Tour Plan
A representative will depart your hotel in Cappadocia between 9:30 and 10 every morning for an excursion.
From the viewpoint overlooking Goreme, you can learn about the rich history of Cappadocia and the unique rock formations found there.
The Goreme Open Air Museum is considered one of the most stunning attractions in Cappadocia. During your visit, your guide will discuss the meanings of paintings on cave churches that are thousands of years old. You can then explore this UNESCO World Heritage site.
After lunch, we’ll visit the ruins of an ancient village called Çavusin. They’re located near a restaurant where we can have dinner.
We travel along the way between lunch and evening by stopping to take photos at several places. Some of these stops include Pasabag, where the famous mushroom-shaped fairy chimneys can be found, and Devrent’s animal-shaped rock formations. Another popular stop is St. Simeon’s monk cell carved into the rock.
The Avanos tradition of making pottery goes back 4000 years. It originated in the picturesque town of Avanos, where you can see a river that supplies clay for pottery. At the end of the day, you can experience this ancient tradition by trying out a kick-wheel demonstration by a local potter. After that, you’ll arrive back at your hotel around 5pm.
