Set in a lush valley, the monastery’s cave church features biblical paintings and is the largest of its kind. Rock restaurant in Cappadocia. We stopped briefly at Taskinpasa Medrese before going for lunch. We will have lunch in a traditional ancient Greek house. After lunch, we walk through Mustafapasa, learning about the 1924 population swap, the wealthy businessmen and locals who once prospered in this small town. We will also visit the St. Nicholas Monastery in Mustafa Pasa, recently restored to its original 20th-century appearance. The most unique thing about this monastery is the icon on the outer wall, which was brought from Greece.
