Our half-day tours start at either 10:00 or 1:00 PM. They’re scheduled to begin right outside of your hotel. The view from this promontory extends past Goreme and into the distance, presenting an impressive vista. From there, we descend to the village of Babayan (the Greek name for Ibrahimpasa), which contains both older and newer stone structures. The next stop on our tour is Pancarlik Church, which lies nestled among rock cones. This monastic edifice, commonly referred to as Beet Valley Church, is one of Istanbul’s most notable sights. The small apse and the large parts of the north and south walls still display vibrant colors on the flat ceiling. Consequently, the recently discovered Sarıca Church is easily seen from a distance. The restoration crew has completely repaired the structure, which is now covered with both frescoes and mosaics. The stunning nature of this place can be witnessed only from April to the end of October. After that, it’s inaccessible to the public for months. We’ll continue traveling to Gomeda Valley and discover one of the lost wonders of Cappadocia.

Cappadocia’s greenest valley is located in a place known as Mustafapaşa. It was once a Greek town called Rumşuz, but it was abandoned during the population exchange in 1924. Visitors can now explore Rumşuz and its old Greek homes.

The tour route is about 50 kilometers long; it takes approximately 4 hours to complete. A trained guide can be requested on the tour, although the driver has limited English. He will drive you from one location to another without being able to provide any historical context.
